Boat Cruise June 11, 2006

Unfortunately due to bad weather and flooding river, the Boat Cruise was cancelled this year by the Company that runs it. Thanks Colleen for putting in all the time and effort to try and get this done. Maybe next year Mother Nature will be on our side.

Sunny Jim and John Frinzi Autism Fundraiser July 28, 2006

Even though it was a slow start on selling tickets we ended up having a great time at the show and being able to donate approximately ($700) to the Autism Center. There were 13 club members in attendance plus some other Parrotheads from Eastern Mass and Connecticut and several local residents.

There were great decorations and lots of door prizes, almost everyone went home with something and well yes some of the luckier ones went home with quite the lot, we won’t mention any names. .

The President and original patient of the center was an incredible speaker and if you get a chance to read his book, which was also made into a movie by NBC, you’ll be amazed at the dedication and love that his parents gave him to help him through his life. It is definitely a worthwhile organization and one that will be getting more and more visibility with the increase in the diagnosis of Autism amongst children being born. If you don’t know someone today you probably will very soon.

A special thanks to the set-up and clean-up crew consisted of Allie Pratte, Tanya Pratte, Brian Baceski, Karen & Richard Feldeisen and Marianne & Keith Watson
